Tucked away on Mill Street, just off Regent Street in the heart of Mayfair, The Windmill is a proper British pub with a rather celebrated reputation for award-winning pies, great food and a very good pint.
Our menu goes well beyond our famous pies, with much-loved pub classics, seasonal British dishes and, come Sunday, one of our famed roasts. At the bar, you’ll find beautifully kept cask ales and beers alongside worldly wines, premium spirits and everything required for a well-made drink.
For something more private, Low Pie, Up Pie and our year-round Roof Terrace offer characterful spaces for dinners, drinks parties and celebrations of all kinds.
And with Christmas on the horizon, we’re now taking bookings for festive lunches, dinners and Christmas parties in Mayfair – because the best ones are always worth planning ahead.
Pies are our passion, and we take them seriously. Every single one is made in-house, wrapped in our signature homemade suet pastry and packed with proper, hearty fillings – which is why you’ll find no less than nine pies on the menu.
This year we returned to the British Pie Awards, proudly bringing home a Silver Medal for our Guinness Braised Short Rib Pie, another feather in the cap for our award-winning kitchen. Our pies have long been recognised among the best in the country, and it’s something we’re incredibly proud of.
Keep your eyes peeled for our seasonal special pie, too. These limited-time creations don’t stay on the menu for long, and they’re always well worth ordering while you can.

In the colder months, there are few better places to spend a Sunday than tucked away in a proper Mayfair pub. Settle in with a Bloody Mary and the Sunday papers, before moving on to one of our famed Sunday roasts – generous cuts of meat, crisp roast potatoes, towering Yorkshire puddings, seasonal vegetables and plenty of proper gravy.
